International Journal of Systems Science

Publisher:  Taylor & Francis
03-15-2000 This publication should appeal particularly to those involved in the "theory and practice of mathematical modeling, simulation, optimization, and control in relation to biological, economic, industrial, and transportation systems." However, "any facet of systems science" may be considered by contributors, including sociopolitical systems. Both experimental and theoretical research papers are accepted. The journal caters to articles demonstrating how "basic results in systems science" may be helpful in designing "engineering systems of any type." These include "fuzzy systems," "robust filtering for uncertain systems with sampled measurements," and "structured and unstructured uncertainties." Mathematical symbols pervade the articles. However, the relevance of this journal to the behavioral sciences and general systems is abundantly clear, both in the direction of main systems and along the lines of auxiliary systems. "Fred R. MacFadden, Jr."
