Work and Occupations

01-16-2013 This publication focuses on the dynamics of the workplace and international approaches to work-related issues. It publishes social science research "on the human dynamics of the workplace, employment, and society from an international, interdisciplinary perspective." Regular features include research notes, review essays, and book reviews. Many topics are addressed, including emotion, work, and labor; gender and race relations; globalization and work; immigrant and migrant workers; occupational health and safety; organizational culture; transitions between work, home, unemployment, and school; violence in the workplace; work and family; and workplace conflict. The 2010 Thomson Reuters Journal Impact Factor was 0.857, with a ranking of 9/22 in Industrial Relations & Labor and 57/129 in Sociology.
