The Family Journal

01-16-2013 The Family Journal: Counseling and Therapy for Couples and Families presents an assortment of practice, research, and theory in each issue, and this blend of coverage, from a family systems perspective, serves practitioners, educators, and researchers involved with couple and family counseling and therapy. This is the official journal of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. In addition to articles, regular sections include counselor training, techniques to share, case consultation, ethics, literature reviews, and book reviews, as well as the new student contribution section. Some recent features are "Adult Children of Divorce and Relationship Education: Implications for Counselors and Counselor Educators," "Parenting Styles and Children's Emotional Intelligence: What Do We Know?," "Preparing School Counseling Students to Aid Families: Integrating a Family Systems Perspective," "Vietnamese American Immigrant Parents: A Pilot Parenting Intervention," and "African American Grandchildren Raised in Grandparent-Headed Families: An Exploratory Study."
