Review of Educational Research

01-16-2013 RER publishes critical reviews and interpretations of educational research literature on substantive and methodological issues. The reviews of research relevant to education may be from any discipline. Authored by faculty, doctoral students, and professionals in the field, well-referenced articles have reviewed social emotional learning; mentoring programs for novice teachers; encoding instruction for students with literacy difficulties; peace education in societies in conflict; biracial students in American schools; multicultural teacher education; a review of empirical evidence about school size effects; the principal's role in creating inclusive schools; gender roles in school employment for over a century; and anti-oppressive education. Four to five articles per issue offer thought-provoking reviews and analyses for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) members and readers of this AERA publication. Highly recommended for academic libraries. URL: www.aera.net/publications/?id=319 (Garson, Deborah)
