It is interdisciplinary in approach, with articles from sociology, history, psychology, anthropology, economics, social work, political science, criminal justice, geriatrics, and public health. Research and review articles cover topics in all these fields as they relate to aging and the elderly, such as age discrimination, Alzheimer's disease, caretaking, and the aging workforce. The journal publishes full and brief reports on original research, systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and editorials. Each issue has five to eight articles.
