The overall tone is academic, but given its multidisciplinary approach, general readers may enjoy reading about popular culture via hip-hop music, contemporary and experimental film, and other less traditional forms of expression. Articles are in English, but abstracts are in both English and the language of the country considered in the article (Portuguese for Brazil, etc.).
