03-22-2007 The articles "Effects of Talker Variability on Perceptual Learning of Dialects" and "Effects of Noise and Proficiency on Intelligibility of Chinese-Accented English" were recently published in this journal. Main topics include speech production, language acquisition, psycholinguistics, reading, speech perception, and sociolinguistics. Specific, recent topics include lexical access, hyperspace, semantics, word recognition, lexical decision, syllables, dialects, repetitive speech, speech rate, vowel production, and vowel perception. Reports of original work are preferred, especially corpus-based, experimental, and observational studies, but computational and observational studies are also welcome.
