01-16-2013 The province of this journal is stylistics, which is the formal study of features of literary style. A recent special brought stylistic analysis to the issue of pedagogy, with articles on such topics as "A genre and move analysis of written feedback in higher education" and "Personal style and epistemic stance in classroom discussion." The journal provides a "Notes and Comments" section for the discussion of issues of current relevance to the field, as well as between five and ten book reviews per issue. A supplementary purchase for academic library collections, owing to the specialized nature of its focus. (Staiger, Jeff)
