Journal of Learning Disabilities

01-16-2013 Dedicated to the field of learning disabilities, the journal publishes articles on practice, research, and theory. Articles are organized into categories such as international studies, instructional/intervention, research, definitional issues, assessment, and special issues. Each issue averages about six to eight well-referenced articles. In covering the multidisciplinary field of learning disabilities, articles have presented topics such as the mediating role of technology; learning disability assessment across ethnic groups; impaired visual attention in children with dyslexia; inattentive behavior in young children; identifying interventions to remediate reading difficulties of children with learning disabilities; and examining an apprenticeship relationship in a collaborative writing context. A recent special issue covers I.Q. discrepancy and the LD diagnosis. Includes a classified advertising section with professional position postings.
