01-16-2013 This online Sage publication is the official journal of the Association of Humanistic Psychology. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for addressing diverse issues in the areas of personal growth, social problems, interpersonal relations, and philosophical thinking. Founded in 1961 by Abraham Maslow and Anthony Sutich, it maintains close connection with the Saybrook Institute. Topics include authenticity, community, consciousness, creativity, existentialism, holistic health, politics, identity, peace and mediation, self-actualization, self-transcendence, and spiritual development. Features include scholarly articles, experiential reports, analyses, theoretical papers, personal essays, poetry, narratives, news, editorial commentary, and research that emphasizes human scientific methods. The work of notable thinkers such as Rollo May, Carl Rogers, Brewster Smith, Ken Wilber, and James Bugental have appeared in its pages.
