Journal of Early Intervention

03-11-2008 This journal publishes articles related to research and practice in early interventions for infants and young children with special needs and their families. The age under consideration might begin at birth, or even before birth for some prevention programs, and extend through the years when children traditionally begin elementary school. Articles are generally research reports, scholarly reviews, or policy analyses. Most articles relate directly to or have a clear relevance for practice. Articles designated "Innovative Practices" are sometimes included. These describe unique or innovative programs, curricula, techniques, or practices related to any aspect of early intervention. Tables of contents for current and past issues are included on the journal's web site. The web site includes tables of contents back through 1993 and abstracts of articles from 2000 to the present. For academic and special libraries. (Naylor, Sharon)
