03-09-2010 Since 1966, the International Review for the Sociology of Sport, a quarterly journal sponsored by the International Sociology of Sport Association, has published research and scholarship on sport throughout the international community. Articles are not limited to sociology, but include the related fields of anthropology, cultural and women's studies, history, geography, semiotics, political economy, and interdisciplinary research. Recent issues contain articles about women's participation in tackle football; the development of sport medicine in Canada; and an analysis of anomie among national league football players.
