01-16-2013 International Criminal Justice Review (ICJR) is a publication of Georgia State University's Department of Criminal Justice, which also publishes Criminal Justice Review (reviewed in this section). Sage is the publisher of both journals since 2005. The International Section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences is now also professionally affiliated with ICJR, beginning with the June 2009 issue. This issue was a special one devoted to the subject of genocide, and some of the articles are based on papers delivered at the 2008 annual meeting of the Academy, which was the impetus for its decision to join with Georgia State. The journal's articles focus on one particular country, or compare two or more countries. They may use quantitative or qualitative methodologies, and commentary is also welcome. The main criteria are that they present "system-wide trends and problems on crime and justice throughout the world." Each quarterly issue contains three to seven articles and 10;b215 scholarly book reviews. Recent articles include using the British Crime Survey to measure ethnic differences in Welsh and British citizens' confidence in their criminal justice system; and Saudi Arabian use of counter-indoctrination to rehabilitate terrorists. The authors are academics from throughout the world; however, most are affiliated with U.S. universities. ICJR is available in print and online from Sage, back to the inaugural issue in 1991.
