01-12-2009 In English and French. French Cultural Studies intends to cover all aspects of modern French culture, language, and society. The emphasis is on cinema, television, the press, visual arts, and popular culture over the more traditional areas of inquiry such as literature, but latter are not excluded. The journal is edited by an international board of prestigious scholars and focuses on the twentieth century, but the scope of the journal extends to the study of the roots of modern culture. French Cultural Studies is part of the Sage Publications database; subscribers receive access to the full text from 1990 to the most recent issue. Recommended for research libraries.
