Educational and Psychological Measurement

01-16-2013 Educational and Psychological Measurement, a Sage journal, publishes articles in the field of measurement. Articles are based on both current data and theoretical issues. Studies concern education, psychology, government, and industry testing. Every issue contains short studies that deal with the validity of tests and scales. Recent issues have addressed: the statistical consequences of attribute misspecification in the rule space method; the impact of missing data on the detection of nonuniform differential item functioning; item-response modeling of forced-choice questionnaires; performance of Velicer's miniman average partial factor retention method with categorical variables; the long-term sustainability of different item-response theory scaling methods; assessing personality traits through response latencies using item-response theory; a new stopping rule for computerized adaptive testing; and sequential effects in essay ratings. Research, academic, and professional educators and psychologists will rely on this valuable journal. (Woolums, Jill)
