Bulletin of Science, Technology & Society

01-16-2013 Bulletin of Science, Technology & Society aims "to provide a means of communication within as wide of a spectrum of the STS community as possible." The intended audience includes researchers, educators, and students in across disciplines, policy makers, and the general public, including journalists. Topics include the place of science and technology in societies, policy issues related to science and technology, technology assessment, the impact of technology upon human values, and public understanding of technology and science. Special thematic issues are published; a forthcoming example is "Commoditization." Issues may include news and correspondence. Recommended for academic libraries. Online access is available with print or alone; a back file can be leased or purchased. Early-view articles are available with online access. Publication appears to lag behind dates on issues; as of June 2012, no 2012 issues have been published. DOIs are assigned; cited and citing references are linked. Publisher is partially COUNTER-compliant. (Braxton, Susan)
