Systematic Biology

01-16-2013 Systematic Biology is a bimonthly publication of the Society of Systematic Biologists. The goal of this journal is the "advancement of systematic biology in all its aspects of theory, principles, methodology, and practice, for both living and fossil organisms." Contents include original research papers on methods of systematics as well as phylogeny, evolution, morphology, biogeography, paleontology, genetics, and the classification of all living things. There is a viewpoint section that offers discussion, book reviews, and news. Full text from 1952 to the present is available online with a subscription.
