Political Analysis

01-16-2013 This journal, published on behalf of the Society for Political Methodology and the Political Methodology Section of the American Political Science Association, is at the forefront of communicating the use of quantitative methodologies in political science research. The research incorporates empirical analysis and seeks to be consistent with the rules and terminology of mathematics, probability, and statistics to offer greater understanding of political and related social phenomena. This analytical approach is applied to issues such as voting and elections, political campaigns, decision making, public policy evaluation, budgets, relations between nations, analysis of political regimes such as democracy, and public support for political parties. Also, there are studies that merge quantitative with qualitative methods that typically do not involve using numerical data in analysis. Recommended for academic libraries. (Lincove, David)
