01-16-2013 A venue for critical analysis of the visual arts, primarily Western, the Oxford Art Journal has contributed to the reexamination of art history through social context and political interpretations. Seven to ten scholarly, peer-reviewed papers represent research in the visual arts and related historical and philosophical issues from antiquity to contemporary art practice. It is well illustrated with black-and-white photos.
