Journal of Semantics

01-16-2013 This journal is concerned with the production of meaning in language usage. International in scope, it publishes analyses that bring philosophical, psychological, and linguistic perspectives to bear on the problem of meaning in natural languages. In keeping with this interdisciplinary flavor, the journal also publishes articles that are informed by the perspectives of research in logic, artificial intelligence, and anthropology. "Concept types," "interadjectival comparison," "expressive modification," and "uninterpretable pronouns" are examples of the highly focused and technical articles that appear in this journal. Notes, discussions, and book reviews are also regularly featured in this journal. The centrality of semantics within the field of linguistics makes this journal a core purchase for all academic libraries. (Staiger, Jeff)
