01-16-2013 This is the official journal of the Society of Pediatric Psychology, Division 54, of the American Psychological Association. The interdisciplinary journal publishes theoretical papers, empirical research, and professional practice articles concerning pediatric psychology. Features include analytical reviews, brief reports, and case studies. Articles focus on preventive health and treatment issues, as well as the training of pediatric psychologists. Recent issues have looked at: the prevalence of emotional and behavior problems in pediatric primary care that serves rural children; treating rural pediatric obesity through telemedicine; assessment of the psychometric properties of the family management measure; the impact of pediatric chronic pain on parents' health-related quality of life and family functioning; associations of parental expressed emotion with adolescent depression symptoms among youth with spina bifida; an investigation of health anxiety in families where children have recurrent abdominal pain; and treatment factors that affect longitudinal quality of life in new-onset pediatric epilepsy. Clinical child psychologists, medical and health-care professionals who work with children, and researchers pursuing studies related to children's medicine and psychology will want access to this title.
