Journal of Church and State

01-16-2013 The Journal of Church & State carefully examines the relationship between religion and civil government. The journal considers issues from around the world and is interdisciplinary in scope, serving as a forum for, among others, historians, legal scholars, and theologians. Recent articles have included "Southern Challenges to Eastern Christianity: Pressures to Reform the State-Church Model" and "The Battle over the Flag: Protest, Community Opposition, and Silence in the Mennonite Colleges in Kansas during the Vietnam War." The journal also contains book reviews and regular features including "Notes on Church-State Affairs" and a "Calendar of Events of Interest in Church and State." This journal is useful to scholars of many disciplines, and particularly those in the social sciences. Recommended for academic libraries that support social science programs. Larger public libraries should also consider subscribing to this journal. (Bales, Stephen)
