Early Music

01-16-2013 Early Music looks at all facets of the ever-unfolding study of early music. Among the topics presented include matters of interpretation, notation, iconography, performance practice, period instruments, and both historical and analytical perspectives of specific composers, performers, manuscripts, and performances. In addition to scholarly articles, a typical issue includes reviews of books, new editions of printed music, and recordings, as well as current workshop and festival listings. This journal will be of great use to anyone interested in early music, and is highly recommended for academic libraries that support historical music programs. (Cross, Abigail)
