Cambridge Journal of Economics

01-12-2009 The Cambridge Political Economy Society founded this journal in 1977 "in the tradition of Marx, Keynes, Kalecki, Joan Robinson, and Kaldor." It focuses on "theoretical, applied, policy, and methodological research," with a strong emphasis on economic and social issues. Critical thinking is emphasized in the process of analyzing data, the development of theory, and the construction of policy. The journal's scope and editors are international. Five to eight articles per issue is typical. Material is solicited in the areas of "unemployment, inflation, the organisation of production, the distribution of social product, class conflict, economic underdevelopment, globalisation and international economic integration, changing forms and boundaries of markets and planning, and uneven development and instability in the world economy." This journal is an excellent addition for academic libraries. (Crowley, Gwyneth H.)
