Age and Ageing

01-16-2013 Associated with the British Geriatrics Society, this international, peer-reviewed journal "includes research on [aging] and clinical, epidemiological[,] and psychological aspects of later life." It is written for clinicians and other health professionals. Original research articles and commissioned reviews are presented in the following sections: "Research Papers" and "Short Reports" (previously "Research Letters") to report original findings; "Reviews" and "Systematic Reviews"; and "Case Reports" and "Clinical Reminders." There are also "Conference Reports," "Editorials," "Commentaries," "Website and Book Reviews," and "Letters to the Editor." Examples of a few recent articles: "Measures of Everyday Competence in Older Adults with Cognitive Impairment: A Systematic Review," "Detection of Falls Using Accelerometers and Mobile Phone Technology" (a research paper), "Longitudinal Changes in Serum Lipids in Older People: The Turku Elderly Study 1991-2006" (a research letter), "Recurrent Strokes Caused by a Malpositioned Pacemaker Lead" (a case report), and "Sexuality in Older Age: Essential Considerations for Healthcare Professionals" (a review).
