African Affairs

01-16-2013 Published on behalf of the Royal African Society (United Kingdom), this highly ranked scholarly journal has a long tradition;b1over 100 years;b1of covering Africa from a broad range of social science and cultural perspectives. Each issue includes several scholarly articles that focus on recent political, social, and economic developments in sub-Saharan countries. Historical studies relevant to current events on the continent are also featured. The journal regularly posts news of meetings of the Royal African Society and includes the society's annual meeting minutes, announcements, and annual report. Very useful to scholars, students, and librarians is the large bibliographic section with its book reviews, a bibliography of current publications by region, and a bibliography of Africa-related articles that appear in non-African periodicals.
