01-12-2012 This peer-reviewed journal of the International Foundation for Production Research publishes production and manufacturing research. One of the unique features of this publication is its ambitious publishing schedule of 24 times per year. Considering that each issue includes approximately 12 articles, IJPR plays a significant role in the dissemination of research in this field. As described on the journal's web site, the readership consists of "research engineers and industrial practitioners involved in advancing manufacturing and operations research." While the scope of the journal covers the wide range of topics involved in production and manufacturing, particular areas of emphasis are manufacturing strategy, innovative technology, and policy development and implications. Book reviews are periodically included. Important to note are the special issues that are published several times per year. A recent example of one of these issues is "Virtual Enterprises: Coalition Formation in Collaborative Networks."
