01-16-2013 With an international focus, this journal publishes research on theory and method in the social sciences, often emphasizing comparative and cross-cultural research. Articles on such subjects as evolution and error theory, Bourdieuan sociology, privacy in digital society, and ethnographic fieldwork in Brazil indicate the range of issues covered by Social Science Information. Occasionally, special issues or symposia are published on such topics as a generalized science of humanity, digitization and transfer, and rules of collective decision. Special sections on the areas of rationality and society, biology and social life, studies of science, theory and methods, and trends and developments appear in various issues. The text of articles may be in English or French.
