Cross-Cultural Research

Издатель:  Sage Publications, Inc.
01-16-2013 Cross-Cultural Research aims to publish comparative studies in many areas of the social and behavioral sciences from anthropology, psychology, and sociology to political science, economics, human ecology, and evolutionary biology. The journal stresses the methodology of the research, and requires that articles include statistical measures linking dependent and independent variables. Recent articles have covered such topics as models of romantic love; leisure and cultural complexity; adaptation to societal differences in intelligence; aggressiveness in the workplace; and parental influence on mate choice. Occasional special issues are published on such themes as workaholism or teacher and parental acceptance and behavioral control of school-age youth. The journal is sponsored by Human Relations Area Files, Inc., and is the official journal of the Society for Cross-Cultural Research. Scholars in many areas of the social sciences will find this publication valuable for its analysis and range of coverage. (Schwartz, Vanette M.)
