Journal of Roman Studies

Издатель:  Cambridge University Press
03-09-2010 This companion publication to the Journal of Hellenic Studies covers all aspects of Roman civilization. The primary emphasis is on history, although important work on archaeology and Latin literature also appears. Its content is scholarly and sometimes technical. An issue usually offers about eight articles (often quite lengthy), one or more substantial surveys or review articles on a specific topic, and a large number of book reviews. The reviews continue to cover most important works in English on Roman Studies, but with fewer European-language titles than in the past. Tables of contents and abstracts for recent issues are available on the publisher's web site. This is an important title for any library that supports a program in ancient history or the classics.
