Journal of Child Language

Издатель:  Cambridge University Press
03-22-2007 This journal presents general topics of interest to linguists (phonology, phonetics, morphology, syntax, vocabulary, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics) but focuses on scientific studies related to children. This makes it a must for academic library collections. It has also had a high average impact factor for the last 20 years. An interesting recent article is titled "Language in First- and Second-born Siblings of the Same Chronological Age." Another article discusses "speeded production of inflected words" in children and adults. Emphasis is on the normal development of both monolingual and multilingual children. Each issue has 6;b210 articles and a few book reviews and discussion/commentary pieces. Authors are from all parts of the world. (Ruppel, Margie)
